The word of the Lord is a lamp unto our feet and a light to our path (Psa. 119:105), and the opening or unfolding of His words gives light, imparting understanding to the simple (v. 130). There has to be a prayer in us that we would hear the Lord’s voice, that He would cause us to hear His voice (Song of Songs 8:13-14).

We need to hear the Lord’s speaking especially in our time with Him in the morning; He comes to us like a gazelle and a young hart to set up His sweet and beautiful kingdom on this earth as the mountain of spices. By being in the Lord’s instant speaking every day, we are washed by the water in the word and we’re beautified with Christ and by Christ to become His glorious church.
